
*Applications are open to staff from across SWASFT, however please be mindful that although most modules should be available as distance learning there may be exceptions.
Travel costs are not supported as part of this module funding. Please contact the university directly if you have any questions regarding delivery mode.*
Prior to applying or expressing an interest in funding for a module place please check the application deadline and ensure you have checked that you have met the entry requirements for modules you may be interested in enrolling on.
Opportunity to select from any* available University of Cumbria module (2026/27 Academic year).
Please carefully read the following conditions:
- Funding offer is equivalent of up to 1 x Level 6 or Level 7, 20 (or 40 if Dissertation) Credit Module within the 2026/27 academic year (available runs only).
- If you find a short course at a lower level, this is also acceptable.
- It is not possible to secure funding for a full degree programme. *There is a separate process for the BSc Top Up Programme
- Only one place per person.
- It is not possible to choose any modules relating to independent prescribing. Please contact us separately if you wish to complete one of these modules and you already have prescribing status & use this as part of your SWASFT role. *
- It is not possible to choose the Clinical Supervision module. If you are interested in Clinical Supervision, the SWASFT preferred module is the UoP partnership module.
- It is not possible to choose a module which stipulates that you require placement or a SWASFT supervisor or mentor. *
- It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure they meet the entry requirements of selected modules prior to completing an application for funding. *
- All funding needs to be approved by SWAST CPD before any applications are made with UoC: any early attempts to enrol with UoC will be rejected.
- Capacity on all modules is managed by UoC, therefore you are only guaranteed a place a point of successful enrolment with UoC. Applicants who are successful with their funding application are therefore advised to enrol on their chosen module promptly – therefore we suggest having a fairly firm idea of which modules you may like to do at this stage.

At the time applicants are contacted to confirm if they are successful or not, all dates will be available. All successful applicants wishing to take up the offer would be expected to reschedule shifts / other commitments in order to in a position to attend as per university requirements.
**Dates, format & timings correct at time of publishing (March 2026). Cohort capacity is managed by UoC, so it is not possible to guarantee run until successfully enrolled.**
If you have not studied at UoC previously you will also be required to attend a virtual induction.
