Not sure what to do with your credits, how how to build that post grad award or BSc? Just need some advice or a quick chat to work out what it’s all for?

Why not arrange a chat with us to help demystify it all and guide you through the maze of academia.

Start by looking at the FAQs as some basic info is here if you are starting to think about further study

And here if you have signed up to a module and are unsure how it’s going to work and what you need to do next.

STEP 1
Check dates & self score

1ST CHECK YOU CAN COMMIT TO TAUGHT DAYS & THE WORK- All attendance days, study time, placement time /costs, & travel time/ costs are expected to be in your own time via shifts swaps or leave. Funding is for the module fee only.

This is really important, as if you drop out and the place cannot be filled in time, the place will be lost, & cannot be refunded. As this is public money, (your taxes!) you may be liable for 100% of the module costs.

Places cannot be deferred or rolled over.

Complete the online application form- (including scores)

YOU WILL BE SCORING YOURSELF FROM NOW ON! All scores will be checked by your County Commander / nominated Line Manager & your County Business Manager

STEP 2
Managers approve score

Your local management team will check and approve the scores. They will adjust any scores for accuracy, & also they will have the ability to give a priority score to 2 applicants, per county, per module.

They will then send the checked and approved scores back to CPD Admin, who will collate all the scores from each County for that module. CPD admin will then rank the scores, highest to lowest.

STEP 3
Enrolment with Uni.

Those with the highest score will be given funding. (If scores are the same, date & time of application will be used).

Once the approval process has been completed; you will receive an email to let you know if you have been granted funding or not. (We will aim to complete the process within 2 weeks of the application deadline closing).

This is really important

If you have been granted funding, you will then need to register as a student with the University AND enrol on the module.

If you haven’t done this before, please follow the instructions sent to you in the funding approval email carefully, as it may have several steps.

You may lose your place if you don’t register & enrol within a reasonable timeframe.

Also, please don’t enrol if you aren’t sure you can attend. Public money is lost every time someone drops out, and we may lose that amount in next years funding.

If you haven’t been granted funding, please keep an eye on your emails, as if anyone is removed from the approved list, we will contact the next highest scoring applicant to see if they are available to take the place.
