Using a combination of educational approaches, RCDM aims to empower clinicians to consider alternative and appropriate patient dispositions that are not only patient-centred but mitigate both personal and corporate clinical risk.

The Dissertation will comprise individual learning contracts in order to facilitate self directed learning with a supportive facilitator. You will also be supported by workshops, which will put emphasis on your participation.

This 20 credit Supporting and Managing Those at Risk of Suicide module, available at level 6 (UZZRXT-20-3) or level 7 (UZZRUS-20-M), will explore prevalence and changing trends of self-harm and suicide, from local, national and global perspectives, whilst examining ethical and legal considerations.

UWE Minor Illness & Injury in Children (MIMIC) 2023-24

On successful completion of this 20 credit Minor illness and Minor Injury in Children module, you will be able to:

At level 6 (UZWY6X-20-3):

Demonstrate knowledge of the implications of the main anatomical and physiological differences between adults and children, for the management of minor illness and injury.
Identify and evaluate patho-physiological features which can precipitate minor illness, and injury in children and be able to articulate the clinical application of this knowledge.

At level 7 (UZWY6Y-20-M):

Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the implications of the main anatomical and physiological differences between adults and children, for the management of minor illness and injury and be able to critical analyse the application of this knowledge.

UWE Health & Social Care Research: Methods & Methodology 2023-24

Available to Registered Healthcare Professionals

The Health and Social Care Research: Methods and Methodology level 7 (Masters level) module is available at both 15 (UZWSPX-15-M) or 20 (UZWRGQ-20-M) credits. There is also a 15 (UZWSRV-15-M) or 20 (UZWYGP-20-M) credit distance learning module option available.

UWE Pre-Hospital Trauma Care 2023-24

This 20 credit Pre-Hospital Trauma Care module is for registered practitioners looking to further develop and expand their knowledge and practice of pre-hospital trauma care. The module can be taken at level 6 (BSc level) or level 7 (Masters level) and is relevant to paramedics and emergency care practitioners.
