The University of the West of England (UWE) is pleased to announce a small number of awards to support allied health professionals (AHPs), nurses and midwives to undertake a dissertation as part of a Professional Development Masters Degree.

WHAT THE AWARD INCLUDES

Successful applicants will be enrolled onto a Masters dissertation module and undertake their own health research project with support from their supervisor. You will work with your supervisor to develop the aims, questions and strategy of your dissertation.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The UWE Personal Research Training Awards are for health professionals (excluding doctors and dentists) who wish to develop careers that combine clinical research with continued clinical practice- More info on this HERE

To be eligible, applicants will be providers of NHS services within one of the following STPs: Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire, Gloucestershire or Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will have already completed accredited Masters level Research Methods module(s) and will be working towards completion of a Masters degree.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications for the award can be made by emailing a two-page CV and letter of application to the address below. The letter should include a summary of completed, credited post-registration training and outline your reasons for applying, proposed health research dissertation topic and future research aspirations.

Applications should be received before 17:00 on the May 4th 2020.
