Managing a patient experiencing an out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) requires quick thinking and the ability to use the latest technology to deliver a high-quality resuscitation attempt. This series of 1-day workshops will focus on the importance of high-quality CPR and utilising advanced monitoring features on Trust ZOLL X-Series defibrillators, including the resuscitation review feature.

 

Learning Outcomes 

  • Understand the science of high-quality chest compressions and why they are crucial for survival from cardiac arrest.
  • Maximise utility of Trust ZOLL equipment including best practices, tips, tricks, and techniques to achieve improved outcomes.
  • Describe how Zoll Resus Review software can provide feedback to support debriefing and discover how it can improve individual performance.

 

Eligibility: All staff who deliver resuscitation are welcome (Paramedics, ECAs, Technicians).

     Simulation and debrief based education looking at obstetric collapse and resuscitation across a range of aetiologies. With additional focus on team leadership and the delivery high-quality resuscitation.

 

  • Toxins and resuscitation including Zoll Resus Review

     Simulation and debrief based education looking at  resuscitation in the context of toxins. With additional focus on team leadership and the delivery high-quality resuscitation.

 

  • Trauma and resuscitation including Zoll Resus Review

     Simulation and debrief based education looking at adult resuscitation in the context of trauma. With additional focus on team leadership and the delivery high-quality resuscitation.

 

  • The deteriorating patient including Zoll Resus Review

     Simulation and debrief based education looking at the deteriorating patient and resuscitation. With additional focus on team leadership and the delivery high-quality resuscitation.
