Glyn Tennet worked for many years in the Ambulance Service as a paramedic and Operations Officer before leaving SWAST to train as an Advanced Care Practitioner in Cardiology in Musgrove hospital.
Glyn returns to provide another masterclass for our SWAST colleagues following his well-received session in April 2023. He is able to provide a unique insight into what we really need to know as clinicians, and what we need to act on when managing patients with cardiac presentations.
Eligibility
This event is aimed at registered clinicians and student paramedics. We also welcome ECAs and EAAs who have a place booked on a paramedic course.
Practical information
- You MUST bring SWAST ID to enter Yeovil Academy for this session.
- Please DO NOT park at Yeovil Ambulance Station for this event. Parking in one of the council run car parks near the hospital is recommended.

- A brief recap of ‘Basics’
- Subtle STEMI
- STEMI equivalents
- STEMI Mimics
- Cardiovascular disease progression and risk
- Improving confidence in recognition of heart blocks, BBB, arrhythmia
- Things you didn’t know you needed to do something about
