Do you work with acute stroke patients in the West of England and want to develop your thombolysis and thrombectomy skillsets?

What is it?

The SWAST Stroke Pre-alert Simulation day at North Bristol Trust Simulation Suite is a pilot one day course aimed at SWAST paramedics to help recognition of stroke symptoms and improve the pre-alert process and transfer of information between SWAST and the NBT Stroke Team.

Team and Venue

This course is run by experienced clinicians who work at Southmead Hospital, a large comprehensive stroke centre in Bristol that delivers 24/7 mechanical thrombectomy. Held in the Simulation Space at the Learning and Research Centre, each scenario offers high-fidelity simulation with use of cutting-edge technology, including bespoke simulated intranet and use of real CT scans to increase the authenticity.

Eligibility

This course is best suited to Lead Clinicians, particularly those working in the BNSSG area.
