You are invited to attend a maternity emergencies simulation, in which we will cover potential birth/neonatal emergencies and their immediate management with a MDT approach. Each simulation will include a neonatal life support demonstration and practice, followed by 2 to 3 scenario based SIMs. These may include:
- Postpartum haemorrhage
- Shoulder dystocia
- Cord prolapse
- Maternal collapse
- Breech birth
There will be a chance for all participants to be involved. A debrief will occur following each SIM to share learning.
Learning outcomes
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the management of maternity emergencies in the community and each professionals role.
**4 places available for each session: 2 Paramedics and 2 ECAs**
