EDUCATION DAY SELF BOOKING
If you are attempting to book your place less than 7 days from the nearest date booked, please also forward the confirmation email you recieve to CPD Admin and ROC to ensure that ROC get your details in time for it to be added to GRS. It will not be possible to add your details to GRS unless you have done this and forwarded the actual confirmation email.
If you need to cancel your place please clearly state which date and session you wish to cancel to cpd.admin@swast.nhs.uk AND ROC to ensure ROC get your details in time for GRS to be amended. Due to volume of bookings, all duplicate session bookings will be deleted and the staff member will be emailed to re-book. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to check which date(s) you wish to keep.

Important Update – March 2025
Conflict Resolution Day is currently open for staff who are either out of date or due to expire this year. If you fall into this category, you should have received communication with instructions on how to book a course.
Core Skills education day: This is a mandatory education day for all frontline staff. Self booking is now open to all frontline bank staff. All other eligible staff members are being scheduled by their administrator.
Core skills syllabus:
- Resuscitation all 3 age groups
- Obstetrics
- Silver trauma
- EPRR
Safeguarding Day:
Safeguarding training will have a separate dedicated day which will open for booking mid/late Summer 25.

Groups that self-booking is open to:
Self booking in 2025/26 is only available to bank staff. All other eligible staff will be booked on a course by their administrator.
*Location availability* Only certain training locations have the extra capacity to offer self-booking spaces.
All Gloucester training will be held at The Pavilion, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham, Glos, GL51 6PN until the end of March 2025.
Different venues may show as available at short notice due to cancellation or sickness, but cannot be guaranteed.
Why is this?
- Education days need a good number of staff to attend to make them an efficient use of Education Lead time. If we weren’t efficient, we wouldn’t be able to provide enough Education days for all staff over the year.
- Currently self-booking places are only available in the main (bigger) training centres only. This is to ensure we have viable numbers for the sessions to run.
How does it work?
- Other locations are likely to become available from October onwards but unfortunately, we can’t guarantee availability at the site most local to you.
- When completing the form, if a venue is at full capacity, the date and location will no longer appear as an option to book.

*Please note* Only 1 day can be booked at a time – you will need to book each day individually & refresh the page each time.
- Core Skills education – All frontline bank staff please book
- Clinician education day- All frontline staff who did not attend this day in 2024/25 (before April 25).
- Conflict resolution – All frontline staff who are due to renew this course. This renews every 3 years. You will be contacted if you are required to book onto this course.
- Safeguarding – this will be open for booking in Summer 2025
