Designed specifically for paramedics and midwives working in outofhospital care.

This one-day event brings together frontline paramedics, midwives, national clinical leaders and service users to explore the realities of maternity and newborn care in the outofhospital setting. The programme combines powerful lived-experience accounts with national updates, evidence-based guidance, and scenario-focused learning relevant to everyday paramedic practice.

Across the day, delegates will hear from service users and crews involved in complex maternity presentations, alongside national updates from senior clinical leaders. Sessions explore health inequalities, women’s choices, safeguarding, and the clinical and professional challenges faced by clinicians attending obstetric and neonatal emergencies.

Alongside the main conference stream, rotating skills and theory sessions allow paramedics to focus on high-risk, low-frequency scenarios including postpartum haemorrhage, bleeding in pregnancy, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, shoulder dystocia, breech birth, cardiac arrest in pregnancy and out-of-hospital newborn life support. Dedicated sessions also cover resuscitative hysterotomy, urgent care maternity presentations, and emerging updates from national care bundles and JRCALC.
