An introduction to the very basics of cardiac A&P and ECG principles, suitable as a refresher for those starting out in front-line work or as a refresher for more established staff.

Delivered by an Education Lead, you will explore ACS pathways and the changes commonly encountered on 12 Lead ECGs, focusing but not limited to STEMI.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac A&P and the electrical pathways.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the SWASFT 6 rules approach to ECG analysis.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the commonly encountered ECG changes with a focus on those indicating a ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

 

Suitable for any grade of front line staff using ECGs in their practice including ECAs, Nurses, Technicians & Paramedics. Students also welcome if space allows.
