Who can self-book?

Groups that self-booking is open to:

Bank staff – e.g.
  • Staff who solely work on a bank contract
  • Staff with a secondary operational bank contract such as EOC staff who work
  • operationally on a bank contract.
Specialist units – These bookings will be coordinated at a unit level – please check with
your unit administrator before booking as they may be booking on your behalf.
  • SPUECs
  • SPCCS
  • HART
Managers and other non-operational (non-Rota) roles – e.g.
  • OO’s
  • Clinical Leads
  • HoPs

Self booking education days

This year we will be trialling self-booking of Education Days for certain groups of staff.

If you are in one of these staff groups, information will have been sent to you direct to let you know you can self-book. Certain groups may be booked on by their team administrator to coordinate locally – they will inform you if your group is using this method.

If you have been invited to self-book please use the form below. Some teams may be booked by administrators to coordinate team planning.

There are 4 days of content this year

*Please note* Only 1 day can be booked at a time – you will need to book each day individually & refresh the page each time. 

REGISTERED Clinicians will need to BOOK ALL 4 DAYS
1 – Clinician Day
NON-Registered Clinicians need to BOOK 3 DAYS
2 – Conflict Resolution day (even if you have completed it recently) 
3 – Core skills Day 1
4 – Core skills Day 2

Once you have booked you will see an onscreen confirmation, and receive a confirmation email.

ROC will be notified automatically be email and will add the day to GRS.

These places will be allocated on a first come first basis.

Ideally, you should book Education days in a consecutive order. e.g. 4 days in the same week

But  we understand for some groups particularly Bank staff this will be difficult.

If you cannot make this fit your schedule, you can book the days on different weeks.

*Location availability* – Please note – Only certain training locations have the extra capacity to offer self-booking spaces.

Different venues may show as available at short notice due to cancellation or sickness, but cannot be guaranteed.

Why is this?
Education days need a good number of staff to attend to make them an efficient use of Education Lead time. If we weren’t efficient, we wouldn’t be able to provide enough Education days for all staff over the year.
If a small venue has a proportion of self booking spaces, and no-one books, this drops below the ratio we need. A larger venue can offer enough ROC allocated spaces to make it viable, even if no self-booking spaces are used.
