This course is taught in-house by a SWAST tutor. Providing the minimum statutory standard for all those entering a teaching profession, the main objective of the qualification is to equip the individual with the skills and knowledge to begin a teaching career within the post compulsory learning sector.

Guided Learning Hours
- 5 taught days
- 48 hours (self directed)
- Assessment is ongoing through portfolio production
You MUST attend all 5 days & submit a portfolio to pass the course -failure to attend all 5 days or submit will result in you breaching the T&Cs and becoming liable for the cost of the course.
This course costs £250 per person and is fully funded by SWAST. Please ensure you can attend all 5 taught dates.
If you cancel or cannot complete the course for any reason, you need to advise firstname.lastname@example.org with as much warning as possible.
Staff accessing this course will be required to provide certification of their achievement of English and Maths GCSE or GCE at Grade C and above or equivalent (Functional Skills in Numeracy/Maths and Literacy/English at Level 2). In addition we will require either a certificate of achievement in ICT or equivalent (GCSE or GCE or EDCL etc. and above) or evidence of attending the EPCR training day plus a 500 word reflection on the use of ICT in their work. This evidence will be required on the first day of the course and will also be required as part of the Portfolio of Evidence provided on the course.
