A great opportunity to attend a fully funded PROMPT training day which includes managing birth complications, haemorrhage and basic new-born resuscitation with some fantastic practical sessions on pregnancy induced hypertension with hands‐on workshops on cord prolapse, vaginal breech and more.

This is not being held at Taunton Ambulance station

The morning comprises of a demonstration of the physiology of normal birth, followed by hands on interactive workshops teaching the management of birth complications.

Emergency simulation scenarios in the afternoon validate the learning from the morning.

Following the training day attendees should be able to:
  • describe the normal physiology of birth.
  • identify and manage birth complications within the limitations of the community setting.

This is a separate offering to the PROMPT courses purchased by SWAST- these places have been offered to us via the local midwifery team in Taunton area

It is the same content as the SWAST purchased PROMPT is an international foundation run by Midwives across the SW.

  • We have 8 spaces offered to us.
  • This is a fully funded training day for SWAST staff.
