Free to all NHS staff, this course taking place in Poole & Dorchester is intended for any professional who works with people who have epilepsy.
The session covers epilepsy awareness to International League against Epilepsy standard (ILAE). Emergency care plans are also covered.

14.30 – Buccal midazolam and care plan training – if this is not relevant to your role, delegates can leave at this point
16.00– End of course
Rescue medication training covers the safe administration of buccal/intranasal Midazolam – it does not cover general medication awareness or training.
Candidates will be awarded a certificate of attendance only and will not be assessed for competence to administer rescue medication. An attendance in basic ‘Save a Life’ training is also recommended.
*Delegates must have attended Dorset Epilepsy Service Epilepsy Awareness training within the last two years and be able to produce a certificate prior to attending buccal midazolam training.*
